Kickstart - Give It Away
What if the very experiences we wish we could erase are the ones God most wants to use? That is the question at the heart of this powerful conclusion to a seven-week journey through the 12 steps as a framework for Christian discipleship. Step 12 brings us to a turning point: after weeks of learning to surrender, confess, and depend on God, we are now asked what God wants to do through us. The Great Commission in Matthew 28 serves as our anchor, where Jesus entrusts his mission not to people who have it all figured out, but to disciples who are still doubting, still growing, still figuring things out. That is not a flaw in the plan. That is the plan. Grace does not wait for us to be perfect before it sends us out. It meets us in our fear, redeems our failures, and invites us into something bigger than ourselves. The insight from 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 makes it beautifully clear: God comforts us in our troubles so that we can comfort others with that same comfort. Our wounds are not wasted. The place where grace found us becomes the place where others discover grace through us. Whether our story is dramatic or quiet, whether we fell far or simply wandered slowly, the power of our testimony is not in how far we fell but in the grace that never let us go.
